Material selection: Spun PP is standard; pleated filters for higher flow and dirt load.
Micron choice:
Use finer (1–5 µm) if feed water is very dirty.
Consider coarse (10–20 µm) as a pre‑sediment stage to extend lifespan of finer filters downstream — e.g. coarse → spun → carbon/RO.
